Hey guys! It's me Thanh Pham again! Today, I want to tell you guys my life story, it's called "How Learning English has changed my life".
I used to be really unconfident, panicked whenever I had to speak English or study in English class, telling the truth that I could not speak a proper sentence in English. But now! I'm standing in front of the class as an English teacher, being loved by all of my amazing students. So if you're curious and wanna know how I has changed so far, find yourself a cozy seat, have warm a cup of tea and yeah! Hopefully, you can find yourself somewhere in my life story.
Back in the day while I was still studying high school and college, I had never considered myself a good English student. My major was natural department, so studying English was not my cup of tea. The majority of the things I'd learned were grammar, formulas and those mundane structures. Furthermore, in college, I was said that 450 TOEIC would be the passport for the graduation.
Then! I was googling "TOEIC" but I did make a classic mistake! That was downloading all documents regarding grammar, voc shared on the internet and totally being overwhelmed by that huge amount of knowledge. Fortunately, the common point that I realized was learning the IPA phonetics . So I started from the teeth, the tongue positions, to the whole facial expression though it was really bizarre to me.
After those exhausting days of self-studying, I decided to enroll in TOEIC class at the center! I also figured out that teachers are just the guides, leading us. It is the learners themselves, which is the deciding factor. Then I started to integrate English into my daily hobbies like watching sitcoms or reading sports newspaper. Then, English also TOEIC has gradually become a part of my life! From being depressed and panicked, I became passionate and interested in learning about it.
After 3 times of battling, and several burning the midnight oil days, finally, I have reached 980 in TOEIC test, with maximum score for Listening skills. I also joined in English speaking clubs, made friends with foreigners and confidently and fluently chat with them.
Since then I have maintained my interest in English and promised myself that I will not stop there!
